2017 IT Makeover Launch

Announcing the 9th Annual $20,000 Non-profit IT Makeover Campaign.

Once again we are proud to announce our annual charitable project, the non-profit IT Makeover Campaign, sponsored locally by IQ Technology Solution and Microsoft’s Reno operations. We are teaming up with Microsoft to provide local non-profit organizations with a shared pool of $20,000 in IT Makeover Campaign funds. The funding is designed to be used by the recipient organization to upgrade or enhance their IT systems and deliver new technology solutions.

Technology is an important tool for non-profits, but it is often underutilized and outdated. The implementation of new technology solutions can provide increased productivity, better communication and data management solutions. These are important tools for charitable organizations that help them deliver services, raise money and support important community needs.

As we deliver the IT Makeover Campaign solutions, we often find that technology updates and enhancements have put on the back burner while organizations focus their time and resources towards helping their clients. Much of the campaign funding goes to provide IT consulting, upgrades to old computer systems and implementations of new IT services like cloud computing solutions.

The IT Makeover funds and services are put to good use by the organizations and the resulting technology improvements have a positive effect for years to come. Microsoft and IQ continue to invest is the IT Makeover campaign as we see firsthand the positive effects that these makeover’s bring to the community.

Non-profit charitable organizations interested in applying for the campaign funding will need to submit an application that includes a description of their current information technology solutions and thoughts on how the campaign funds could be used to help them fulfill their missions.

A committee made up of local leaders will review the applications and identify which organizations will receive funding based upon need and the stated goals for how improved technology solutions will help the organization’s mission, and the benefits to the community.

Last year’s recipients included Sierra Nevada Journeys, The Empowerment Center, Urban Roots, Immunize Nevada and the Nevada Cancer Coalition.

This year we will be hosting a special event to provide non-profits with more information on the campaign and guidance on the submission process. Please join us on March 17th from 3:00 to 5:00pm for the Non-Profit Tech Day event. The event will be held at IQ Technology Solution’s office at 5595 Equity Ave., Suite 300, Reno, NV.

For more information on the campaign, or to register for the Tech Day event please email ITMakeover@IQisIT.com. You can visit the campaign website at www.iqisit.com/resources/ITMakover to download the application. The deadline for submitting applications for the IT Makeover is March 31st, 2017 and recipients will be announced in May.
